Some of the Nanopto group members participted at Expominer held in Barcelona during last weekend. Nanopto group actively participated in the ICMAB stand showing to the visitors different type of solar cells: mainly organic, sillicon and perovskite. Apart from solar cells, we also showed and played with photonic structures. Besides, we performed a workshop to show to kids how solar cell works and basic experiments with electricity.
Additionally, one of the Nanopto group leader Dr. Mariano Campoy-Quiles gave a outreach talk entitled: ‘Solar energy is sutainable, Are solar cells too?’ In this talk, Dr. Mariano Campoy-Quiles explained and compared wide range of available photovoltaic technologies such as: sillicon, CIGS, CdTe, hybrid perovskites and organic solar cells.
